features. A very nice bus. It is seen in Sliema.

buses are worked hard and often carry full standing loads.

42. EBY 543 will be instantly recognisable to many as another Leopard new in Yorkshire, this time as WYPTE LUG 524P and
with attractive Plaxton Derwent body.
43. Another LH, a rather tired-looking EBY 544 (GDV 460N) in Mosta.
44. For a long time, EBY 546 was thought to have a Leopard chassis but it is in fact a Leyland Beaver. Body is by Grech.
45. Bedford SL/Aquilina EBY 556 passes through Birkirkara.
46. Bedford/Tonna EBY 560 climbs in to Mellieha.
47. EBY 565 is described as a Maltese (Baileys) with Gauci bodywork. It shows off its fearsome grille in Xemxija Bay.
48. EBY 567 is based on an AEC Reliance chassis, which was new as 9191 NW. It has a 1982 Grech body and is in Bugibba.
49. Bedford YRQ/Plaxton EBY 580 (XWW 791L) climbs round the tight bend from St. Paul's Bay to Mosta.
50. Bedford SB/Casha EBY 586 in St. Paul's Bay.
51. This is an AEC Matador, with 1965 Gauci body, seen resting at Senglea terminus.

57. And finally (for now), FBY 657 (WVG 788X) is another Bedford YMQ/Marshall, seen at Marsa shortly after having departed Cirkewwa ferry terminus.
