The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum is situated in a rural location at Lathalmond, near Dunfermline and contains a very large collection of
historic buses and coaches housed in a number of hangars around the site. Their main event held at the museum is the Open Weekend in
mid-august, but in recent years a bus running day has also been organised during May, providing the opportunity for visitors to ride
on a greater selection of vehicles which operate over 5 different routes to surrounding towns and villages.
The following photographs, which were taken at the last running day on 16th May 2010, give an idea of the variety of vehicles in use and
on display but these are only a fraction of the vehicles that were on show. The event was very popular but the size of the site and the
number of vehicles in use meant that there were always a few spare seats on every trip and it was easy to get photographs without people
getting in the way.
A visit to Lathalmond is therefore thoroughly recommended and further information on the museum, the vehicles and future events, can be
found on the Scottish Bus Museum website
HERE.
