Mum and I visited Beverley & Hull on July 10th 2006. We went with Gee Vee Travel; the coach was a Bova Futura painted
white ready for sale.
In the coach park we were parked next to a Fraser Eagle Bova Magiq. At this time, the Magiq had just gone on sale in the UK and
Fraser Eagle had some of the first British registered examples. This company had some high quality coaches prior to its collapse.

Beverley is a few miles north of Hull and served mainly by East Yorkshire buses, including the trunk Hull-Beverley-Bridlington-Scarborough
route.
We continued on to Hull, where the bus station was under redevelopment as part of a new shopping centre adjoining the railway station. Some
of this site was previously occupied by the old bus station and the Kingston-upon-Hull Corporation Transport bus depot. My dad’s from Hull
originally and he said the bus station hadn’t changed much since before he left in the 1960s!
Hull’s main bus operators are Stagecoach and East Yorkshire. Both have been updating their fleets in recent years. At the time of our
visit, Stagecoach was running new Frequento branded Dennis Tridents and most East Yorkshire buses were Volvos. I also saw a Mercedes O.405 /
Optare Prisma (never a common type) and some Stagecoach style MAN / Alexander ALX300s. One Olympian was painted in an all-over advert
livery for Hull Trains, in their smart green and gold livery of the time. Now Hull Trains is owned by FirstGroup and the trains are
in Barbie livery.
